Frequently Asked Questions

How do I change my password / I forgot my password?

If you go to the sign in page you can click the 'forgotten' link to change your password.

How do I complete surveys?

When a new survey becomes available, we will email at random a sample of panellists to invite them to take part. If you receive the email, follow the link and this will take you directly to the survey once you have logged in.

However if you do not receive an email you can still complete any survey. If you check the website regularly and look in 'Available Surveys' tab, all current live surveys you're eligible for will be listed for you to see.

Why haven't I received an invite for a survey yet?

Usually we are looking for about 1000 to 2000 responses to a survey so to make sure we reach a good cross section of people we send out random email invites. You may not always receive an email inviting you to take part in a survey but if you check the site regularly you should be able to see any new surveys that you can take part in.

How many surveys can I expect to receive?

The number of surveys that we run through the site is increasing all the time as we hope to develop and grow Howrk. Not everyone is invited to take part in every survey, so the best chance of taking part in the most surveys will require you to login to your account on Howrk each week.

I can't complete a survey because it says I'm ineligible

While most of our surveys require a good mix of age, gender and UK region and are open to everyone, occasionally we may pinpoint specific groups, for example such as people with children under 5, smokers in the north of England, or men over 60. While we do try and make sure we only invite people that we specifically need for a survey, you may receive an invite but then be told that you are no longer eligible to complete this survey based on one of your responses. In this case please don't be disheartened and check the site again to see if there are any surveys suitable for you.

Other times the number of responses that we're looking for from a certain age, gender or region have been met and therefore we no longer require more responses and this leads to a notice to also let you know that you're no longer eligible because we have the volume of responses we require.

To make sure we can select you for surveys that may be of interest to you or specific to you, please remember to fill in all your details in the 'Profile' section on Howrk and keep your information up to date.

My email address and password are not allowing me to log in?

First of all ensure that your caps locks button is not switched on, as passwords are case sensitive. If you are still unable to log in use the 'forgotten' link, enter your email address and we will send you instructions for setting a new password. If you are still encountering problems email enquiries@howrk.com and we'll get back to you.

How can I change my email address?

Log in as normal to the Howrk site and go to 'Profile' at the top of the page then click the 'change' link. This page allows you to change your email. All you need to do is enter your new email address and hit the 'Confirm email address change' button. In order to make payments easier it helps us if this email matches your PayPal email address.

When I have reached £20, how do I get my funds?

Howrk is one of the few UK panels that pays you at £20. When you reach £20 you will see an option to ‘Cash out’ - once you click this all you have to do is select your preferred payment method.

If you select to be paid by PayPal please enter the email address of your PayPal account.

PayPal transfers will be processed within 14 days - You will receive an email from PayPal letting you know that 'you have funds'.

Amazon eVouchers will be emailed to you within 14 days. Be sure to check your email settings to make sure that emails from Amazon don't accidentally go in your junk or spam folder.

Howrk issues payments in increments of £20, so any funds left over after a payout will remain in your account until the 'Cash out' option is reached again.

I no longer want to receive emails inviting me to surveys but I still want to be a member, how can I do this?

Log in as normal to Howrk and go to 'Settings'. You'll see a dropdown menu next to 'Send me an email when new surveys become available'. Change to 'no' if you no longer want to receive emails notifying you of surveys you're eligible to participate in.

I no longer want to be a member of YouSayPays, how do I leave?

We obviously don't want this to happen so please do email us with any problems you may be encountering or any feedback you have for us. We are constantly trying to improve our service so your feedback will be invaluable. If however you do want to leave, please log in as normal to Howrk and go to 'Settings' then click 'deactivate account'. Alternatively you can contact us and we can do this for you.
